Player Development for Taylor Basketball Athletes

Why Taylor Basketball Players Train at The Factory
The Factory has a long history of developing boys and girls basketball players from communities throughout Downriver. Taylor athletes have access to the same structured player-development system at our Westland training facility.
Our Downriver connections include athletes from Riverview, Woodhaven, Flat Rock, Grosse Ile, New Boston / Huron Township and other nearby schools and communities.
Downriver athletes have trained at The Factory at different stages of their development, from young players building fundamentals to varsity athletes and players who eventually continued their basketball careers at the college level.
Our approach is built around proper instruction, purposeful repetitions and consistent development. Rather than simply putting athletes through drills, our trainers teach the details of each skill and help players build those skills over time.
Taylor athletes can work specifically on shooting, ball handling, finishing, footwork and basketball IQ through classes designed around different skill levels and areas of development.
More Than Drills: A Player Development System
Basketball improvement doesn't come from doing random drills. Athletes need to learn skills correctly, repeat them with purpose and continue progressing as their ability improves.
The Factory gives Taylor athletes an opportunity to work on specific parts of their game through skill-specific basketball classes and private lessons. Instead of trying to cover everything in one workout, players can concentrate on areas such as shooting, ball handling, finishing and footwork.
Training is organized by skill level so developing athletes can build strong fundamentals while more advanced players continue working on the details, pace and consistency required at higher levels of competition.
