Basketball Skills Classes for Every Level
We have 30 minute skill-specific classes as well as our 60 minute general skills classes. Each is offered at multiple skill levels. Learn more about our basketball skills classes and find the right training level for your athlete.
60 Minute Skills
Athletes will start with dribbling and progress through approximately 3 group-appropriate skills.
Shooting Form
Learn proper Shooting Form in Level 1, proper footwork in Level 2, and advanced game-speed shooting in Level 3.
Handles
Learn ball manipulation, crossover and between-the-legs moves in Level 1, game-speed skills in Level 1.5, and combinations, hesitations and more in Level 2.
Finishing School
Learn RH & LH 1-foot and 2-foot layups in Level 1, game-speed finishing off the dribble in Level 1.5, step-throughs, spins and reverses in Level 2, and advanced game-speed finishing in Level 3.
Off-Hand Development
Focuses on improving your weak hand. Everything in this class — dribbling, passing and finishing — will be done with your off-hand.
Rebounding
Learn to follow the flight of the ball, find a body with your hands, and use proper boxouts in Level 1. Advanced Rebounding adds one-hand rebounds, tipping to yourself and more.
Pick 'n Roll
Learn how to use the screen, make the pass, roll, pop, and more.
Pivot Foot
Master your pivot foot. Learn to score without using a dribble.

We are here to help with both. Our Player Development Skills Assessment is a 30-minute appointment with our training staff.
Assessment: A 10-minute series of skills evaluated by a trainer.
Video Capture: For review and future comparison.
Feedback: Our staff reviews the assessment results and videos with the athlete and parent(s).
Plan: Our staff provides the appropriate classes for your development.
Empowerment: You receive an email containing the assessment, recommended classes and tips for maximizing improvement.

The Factory's relationship with Riverview basketball has developed over many years, with dozens of boys and girls varsity players training with our staff during their basketball development.
That connection includes Class of 2019 Sam Dorn. After training at The Factory and completing her high school career, Sam continued playing basketball at Concordia University.
Her relationship with The Factory didn't end when her playing career did. Sam later returned to The Factory as a coach and trainer, allowing her to help develop another generation of basketball players.
The Factory also trained Class of 2023 Cadence Kaminske, who continued her basketball career at Alma College, and Class of 2023 Elyssa Kincaid, who went on to play at Cedarville University.
The relationship extends well beyond those three athletes. Riverview boys and girls have trained at The Factory at different stages of their development, from younger players building foundational skills to varsity athletes preparing for competition.
Throughout that process, our approach remains centered on proper instruction, purposeful repetitions and consistent development in shooting, ball handling, finishing, footwork and overall basketball IQ.
From Riverview Athlete to Factory Trainer
Sam Dorn, Riverview Class of 2019, represents a unique part of the long relationship between Riverview basketball and The Factory.
After training at The Factory, Sam went on to play college basketball at Concordia University. She later returned to The Factory as a coach and trainer, moving from being one of the athletes in our gym to helping develop the athletes who came after her.
Sam is part of a larger Riverview story that includes dozens of boys and girls varsity players who have trained at The Factory, including college players Cadence Kaminske (Alma College) and Elyssa Kincaid (Cedarville University).
