What Customers are Saying:
A Long History With Downriver Basketball
The Factory has worked with basketball players from Allen Park and communities throughout Downriver for years, helping athletes develop the skills needed for school, travel and college basketball.
Why Allen Park Basketball Players Train at The Factory
The Factory has a long history of training boys and girls basketball players from communities throughout Downriver, including athletes from the Allen Park area.
Our Downriver connections include athletes from Riverview, Flat Rock, Woodhaven, Grosse Ile, New Boston / Huron Township and other nearby schools and communities.
Our connection to Riverview basketball has been especially strong. The majority of the Riverview girls varsity team that made back-to-back State Quarterfinal appearances in 2022 and 2023 trained at The Factory, including several athletes who went on to play college basketball.
Factory athletes from Downriver have continued their basketball careers at colleges including Concordia University, Alma College, Cedarville University, the University of Detroit Mercy and Northwood University.
Our training philosophy is based on more than simply running players through drills. We emphasize proper instruction, purposeful repetitions and consistent development so athletes learn how to apply the skills they develop in actual games.
For Allen Park players looking to improve their game, The Factory provides specialized training in shooting, ball handling, finishing, footwork and overall basketball IQ, with training options for different ages and skill levels.
More Than Drills: A Player Development System
Basketball players don't improve simply by completing more drills. They improve when they receive proper instruction, understand what they are trying to accomplish and get enough purposeful repetitions to make the skill part of their game.
That's why The Factory organizes training around specific areas of development. Athletes can work on shooting, finishing, ball handling, footwork and other skills while progressing into more advanced training as their ability improves.
For Allen Park athletes, that creates a year-round training option designed to complement school and travel basketball rather than simply provide another place to run through drills.
