Basketball Skills Classes for Every Level
We have 30 minute skill-specific classes as well as our 60 minute general skills classes. Each is offered at multiple skill levels.
60 Minute Skills
Athletes will start with dribbling and progress through approximately 3 group-appropriate skills.
Shooting Form
Learn proper Shooting Form in Level 1, proper footwork in Level 2, and advanced game-speed shooting in Level 3.
Handles
Learn ball manipulation, crossover and between-the-legs moves in Level 1, game-speed skills in Level 1.5, and combinations, hesitations and more in Level 2.
Finishing School
Learn RH & LH 1-foot and 2-foot layups in Level 1, game-speed finishing off the dribble in Level 1.5, step-throughs, spins and reverses in Level 2, and advanced game-speed finishing in Level 3.
Off-Hand Development
Focuses on improving your weak hand. Everything in this class — dribbling, passing and finishing — will be done with your off-hand.
Rebounding
Learn to follow the flight of the ball, find a body with your hands, and use proper boxouts in Level 1. Advanced Rebounding adds one-hand rebounds, tipping to yourself and more.
Pick 'n Roll
Learn how to use the screen, make the pass, roll, pop, and more.
Pivot Foot
Master your pivot foot. Learn to score without using a dribble.

We are here to help with both. Our Player Development Assessment is a FREE 30 minute appointment with our training staff.
Assessment: A 10-minute series of skills evaluated by a trainer.

Feedback: Our staff reviews the assessment results and videos with the athlete and parent(s).
Plan: Our staff provides the appropriate classes for your development.

Why Plymouth-Canton Families Train at The Factory
The Factory has a long history with the Plymouth-Canton basketball community. Dozens of athletes from Plymouth, Canton and Salem High Schools, as well as Plymouth Christian Academy, have trained at The Factory over the years.
Today, dozens of current Plymouth-Canton Community Schools students continue to train at The Factory through Basketball Skills Classes, Private Lessons and other player-development programs.
Factory trainer Josh Reynolds knows the Plymouth-Canton basketball community firsthand. Josh played at Plymouth High School before continuing his basketball career at Wayne State and Madonna, followed by five years of professional basketball overseas.
Factory founder and coach Rich Sherwood also has strong ties to the Plymouth-Canton community. A 16-year Canton resident, Rich has coached numerous teams and athletes in the community, including teams at Plymouth Christian Academy, Liberty Middle School and Canton High School, as well as with the Canton Cardinals travel baseball program.
