Private Basketball Lessons
While we believe our basketball skills classes are the most effective and affordable way for most athletes to improve, private basketball lessons can be an excellent addition to a complete player development program. One-on-one instruction allows our experienced trainers to focus entirely on the individual athlete, helping younger players build confidence and fundamentals while giving more advanced players the opportunity to improve specific skills, prepare for tryouts, or address situations they encounter during games.
Whether your athlete is just getting started or preparing to compete at the next level, our experienced training staff can develop a lesson plan tailored to their individual goals and development needs.
Private Lesson Rates:

When Are Private Basketball Lessons the Right Choice?
Private basketball lessons are not intended to replace quality group training. Instead, they provide an opportunity for athletes to receive individualized instruction focused entirely on their specific needs. Many families choose to combine group skills classes with occasional private lessons to accelerate improvement while continuing to benefit from competitive, game-like training.
Young or beginning players often benefit from private lessons because they receive more personal attention while learning proper shooting form, ball handling, footwork, passing, and other fundamental basketball skills. One-on-one instruction allows our trainers to slow the pace when necessary, ensuring each skill is being performed correctly before building upon it.
Experienced middle school and high school players frequently use private lessons for a different reason. Rather than working on general skill development, they may focus on improving a particular weakness identified during games, refining advanced moves, preparing for school tryouts, increasing shooting consistency, or becoming more effective at their position.
Common Questions Parents Ask
Should my child take private basketball lessons or group skills classes?
For most athletes, the answer is both. Group training provides valuable repetitions, competition, and game-like situations that are difficult to duplicate in a private setting. Private lessons complement group classes by allowing our trainers to provide individualized coaching tailored specifically to each athlete's development.
Are private lessons appropriate for beginners?
Absolutely. Many younger athletes gain confidence more quickly when learning new skills in a one-on-one environment before applying those skills during group classes and games. Private lessons can provide the extra attention many beginning players need while developing proper fundamentals.
How often should my child take private lessons?
Every athlete is different, but many families find that combining regular group training with an occasional private lesson provides an excellent balance between individualized instruction and competitive skill development.

Not Sure Where to Begin?
We encourage new athletes to begin with a FREE Player Skills Assessment, where our experienced training staff will evaluate each athlete's basketball skills, record video for review, and recommend the basketball classes and training programs that best fit their current ability and development needs. This assessment helps families build a personalized player development plan and is often the best first step before scheduling private basketball lessons.
