Trainer Bio: Amy Jackson

Amy Jackson

Basketball Skills Trainer

Bio:

Coach Amy Jackson was a high-level multi-sport athlete during her first two years at Macomb Community College, where she holds the program record for three-pointers made in a season. As a team captain, Amy averaged 15.0 points and more than 4 rebounds per game.

During her second year, Amy continued to establish herself as a scorer and three-point shooting threat, earning MCCAA Second-Team honors. Her athletic success wasn't limited to basketball. Amy was also named to the MCCAA All-Conference Team in Cross Country.

Amy then transferred to Cleary University, where she continued to average double figures in basketball while becoming a standout two-sport collegiate athlete in both basketball and bowling for the remainder of her college career.

As a trainer, Coach Amy places a strong emphasis on proper shooting mechanics and developing the ability to shoot on the move. She believes great shooters need to do more than shoot well from a stationary position — they also need to understand how to move effectively without the ball, get open, and create quality shooting opportunities.

Amy works with athletes of all ages and skill levels. She especially enjoys teaching our Shooting Form class and also leads our 60-Minute Skills classes.
